The ThriftStore Finds Auction is unique fundraiser offering a combination of 3 items auctioned as one Bid-Package (BP). They may include any combo of:
- Handbag + Scarf + Homemade Jewelry (red label)
- Handbag + Scarf + Donated Jewelry (black & gold label)
- A substituted Item such as a Vase + Scarf + Donated or Handmade Jewelry
- A Mix of Handbag, Scarf, Donated & Handmade Jewelry
ALL HAND/HOMEMADE JEWELY IS MADE BY VOLUNTEERS USING GEMSTONES, METALS, LEATHER LACING, LEATHER & SILK THREAD, AND OTHER RAW MATERIALS PURCHSED BY THE FOUNDATION SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS SUPPORT AUCTION FUNDRAISER.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Jewelry is mostly homemade but we will accept or purchased unique pieces in bulk consistent with the pieces that are homemade. In all cases, the jewelry is donated and matched up with handbags and scarves purchased from a number of local thrift & consignment stores. Jewelry alignment itself may be one piece or a 2-3 piece set.
Volunteers paired jewelry with a handbag & scarf or a substitute item such as a Vase to form a single Auction Bid-Package. Bid-Packages are then given an internal inventory number and a Bid Sheet is completed and placed with it.
Online Packages are photographed and stored separately than Silent Auction packages so neither supply is depleted. Altering the content either between packages or between Online vs. Silent is not permitted. Item Bid-Packages will be sold to the highest eligible bidder recorded at the end of the bidding time or raffle cycle. Winners will be notified on-screen, and may also receive a text message or email confirmation if that info is available.
TERMS
ALL SALES ARE FINAL WITHOUT EXCEPTION, RETURNS ARE NOT POSSIBLE OR ACCEPTED.
Complete Terms are outlined in detail under each Auction Package on the GalaBids site. As a courtesy, to summarize for visitors to this web page, those Terms include the following:
- Neither The Learners Lab Foundation nor ThriftStore Finds Online Auction shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including but not limited to consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the auction or auctions items, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
- ALL ITEMS are presented and offered in “AS IS CONDITION”, WITHOUT EXCEPTION as that is how they were purchased or acquired.
- ALL ITEMS were either purchased from local thrift stores or donated directly to The Foundation for inclusion in Thirst-Store Finds Silent & Online Auction and freshened as best as was possible to do.
- With the exception of Military Personnel and their Families on Military Installations, No items will be sold and shipped abroad.
The ThriftStore Finds Live Auction and Raffle are underway and being conducted electronically using the GalaBid platform GalaBid which process all bid item-packages and bids displays automatically.
